Avaya INDeX upgrades

Do you own an Avaya INDeX Phone System? Not a problem, many telecom companies have withdrawn support for the Avaya INDeX, however, Denwa Communications will continue to support anyone with Avaya INDeX phone system equipment until parts are completely unavailable.

For your information the SDX INDeX, Lucent INDeX and Avaya INDeX are the same phone system. The product just changed hands overtime and was re-badged.

Since its introduction in 1995 more than 22,000 Avaya INDeX systems have been sold - 70% in the UK alone. Now, as the product comes to the end of its life cycle Avaya has formally announced that the product will no longer be available for sale from 1st June 2006.

Significantly, although Avaya will continue to technically support the product via repaire and software patches,There will be no upgrades to existing systems will be permitted after 1st June 2006.

What this means is that existing Avaya INDeX customers have a while to consider their options. In the large majority of cases Denwa believes the best option for these customers is to upgrade to Avaya IP Office or Mitel CS-5200 - these products are the ideal replacement for your Avaya INDeX.
