The Inter-Tel CS-5200, CS-5400 and CS-5600 offer: - Support for Inter-Tel and third party software applications, for example CTI.
- Support for Inter-Tel S8000 Series IP and wireless endpoints.
- Built in four port basic voicemail (upgradable) with basic Unified Messaging.
- Two built-in analogue trunk ports.
- Two built-in analogue extension ports.
- Three module bays allow for internal expansion:
- PRI Module can be used to connect to other Inter-Tel CS-5000 Servers or to Primary Rate services.
- Analogue exchange line module enables connectivity of two or four PSTN exchange lines.
- Analogue extension module providing 4 ports (SLM-4). Maximum of one per chassis.
- Basic-Rate connectivity through the Basic Rate Module (BRM).
- Built-in modem for remote diagnostics and programming.
The Inter-Tel Digital Expansion Interface (DEI) Offers: - Three modular bays that each accept an expansion module (DEM-16 or SLM-8).
- Support for a single line adapter allowing for two analogue endpoints to connect as separate extensions using a single digital port.
- Support for Inter-Tel 8000 Series digital endpoints
Inter-Tel supports the following standards: - Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
- Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP)
- IEEE Standards: 802.11b, 802.3af
- ITU Standards: G.711, G.729a/b and T.38 CT
- Enablers: Open Architecture Interface (OAI) TAPI Service Provider
The CS-5000 chassis provides three bays allowing for internal expansion modules to be added. Primary Rate or Basic rate is added via the PRI or BRM modules respecitvely. Four analogue extensions can be added with the SLM-4. For solutions requiring more than four analogue extensions, a Digital Expansion Interface is required. Digital and Analogue Support Digital or analogue extensions are provided by Inter-Tel's Digital Expansion Interface (DEI). The DEI has three module bays that can each accomodate either a 16 extension Digital Endpoint Module (DEM-16) or an 8 extension Single Line Module (SLM-8). This provides up to 48 digital or 24 analogue extensions per DEI and up to 2 DEIs can be added to a system giving a total capacity of either 96 digital or 48 analogue extensions.
